Travel to Armenia

One of the countries I´ve been wanting to visit for a long time is Armenia.
You don´t know much about Armenia you say? Even better, as the country is still shielded from mass tourism with the result being a population holding on to their culture and traditions. Furthermore, prices stay relatively low.

Armenia is an ancient country located in Eastern Europe, and borders Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan and Georgia. It was the first country in the world to hold Christianly as state religion, and its many monasteries and churches is one of many reasons to visit this Narnia-alike country. The country struggles with many hardships in terms of economy, politics and is placed as number 87th of the United Nations Human Development Index (HDI), although development in general is ranked higher than many of the countries in the region. More importantly, Armenians are know for their hospitality and friendliness, and its cuisine is known far beyond its borders.

What am I waiting for???

One of the many lovely villages in this country

One of the things that caught my attention about Armenia is the beautiful nature and the spirituality it leaves behind. I would absolutely love to wander among the villages and breathe the fresh air while hiking in its beautiful nature.

Definitely on my bucket list.
