Just another perfect New York Sunday

Last weekend was just such a treat for all Newyorkers. Sunday in particular was the perfect Sunday when it´s warm enough to feel the sun kiss your face while you would still need your trench coat or a warm cardigan to keep extra cosy.

People were hanging out, strolling around the village with no real purpose or destination, friends were sharing a bottle of wine, kids were jumping around in cute dresses, couples were discovering New York by bike, families were brunching. Nothing could ruin this perfect afternoon.

Folk tok seg tid til seg selv og hverandre mens de ruslet rundt i The Village uten mål eller mening, venner delte en flaske vin, barn hoppet rundt i søte kjoler, kjærestepar oppdaget New York på sykkel, familier brunsjet. Ingenting kunne ødelegge denne perfekte ettermiddagen.

And I know it´s December and there are little reminders everywhere…but New York this Sunday was definitely as far from Winter Wonderland as you can get. Indian summer at best with streets still covered in yellow and orange leaves, but winter? Christmas? Really?

Jul? Ikke sjans!

Christmas is very dear to my heart and I usually love this time of the year. But if New York wants it this way New York wants it this way. All us Newyorkers can do is try to find a seat and get along for the ride. Preferably with a glass of ice cold Sauvignon Blanc that is!
